Our Story and Team

Optimus Consulting was founded in 2014 by Emil Tsenov with the purpose of providing consulting services of the highest quality to businesses in Europe and beyond in the fields of Marketing, Strategy and Corporate Foresight.

Our goal is to connect deep understanding of theory (all our consultants teach in universities) with practical experience and application. This is also reflected in the profile of our consultants. For example, Emil had led the International Marketing and Strategy function of big companies and start-ups in several different B2C and B2B businesses, while also teaching at several universities in Austria and China. He speaks several languages and has an MBA from INSEAD.
Optimus Consulting works with independent consultants who share the same profile – practical experience in business plus academics. The consultant we will use depends on the particular business case and will be presented to you in advance.

Dr. Dessislava Dikova is our main consultant in the area of Strategy and Markets. She is Professor in International Business CEE focus at the Vienna University of Economics & Business. She previously held positions at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands and King’s College London, the UK. Dessi managed several consultancy projects for the Austrian Post, Unibail-Rodamco (currently Unibail-Rodamco-Westerfield), Bank Austria Unicredit, Henkel CEE and zeb. She has authored numerous articles on the international behavior of multinational companies, foreign market entry mode choices in emerging and developing economies and the subsequent performance of their foreign subsidiaries, and the competitive behavior of firms with respect to the types of innovation investments and their cross-border merger and acquisition activity.

Dr. Thomas Nennadal has huge experience in the area of B2B and B2C Marketing and Business Development, especially in the field of start-ups. He worked as the COO of the Austrian high tech incubator accent where he consulted entrepreneurs and implemented support programs. He has also has a huge know-how in funding on European level.

Thomas has also launched several businesses and had been responsible for the implementation of HACCP & GMP standards. He has a PhD in Technical Chemistry and MBA degree.
